My project theme is “Why is this garment beautiful? What makes garments beautiful? I questioned many existing pattern cutting theories in term 1 and my project theme came from one of the questions. Like people say that “Many a little makes a mickle”, many small pattern-cutting tricks can change garments dramatically. To go to the next level as a pattern cutter, I aim to understand what makes garments attractive and to enhance my employability in the area of the fashion industry, which has the design aesthetic and ethics that resonate with me.
