Kana Hasegawa is a pattern cutter
with global industrial experience and
Masters degree in Pattern Cutting
in the UK.

In the industry, she was responsible for products which designers created and supervised their production up until they were ready to be sold at stores. Therefore, She has experienced tasks that are required through this process, not only making patterns but also grading patterns by using CAD, making sewing specifications by using Adobe Illustrator and communicating with factories and the production department.

In her Masters course, she explored pattern cutting methods that were developed in different eras and regions to understand which pattern cutting techniques make garments beautiful. She found out the important relationship between ethnicity, body posture, and pattern cutting.

She has a passion for CAD pattern cutting, garment construction, and tailoring inspired garments. She always challenges herself to contribute sustainability in every aspect of pattern cutting and production processes.
